Program Advisory Committee

The Program Advisory Committee reports to the University of California. The UC Berkeley Vice Chancellor of Research requested that the PAC review the DUSEL facility and design program and provide advice on:

DUSEL preliminary design's baseline and approach to the Major Research Equipment and Facilities Construction (MREFC) proposal.
The DUSEL generic suite of experiments.
Planning for the scientific program.

The DUSEL PAC met for the first time on July 27 and 28, 2010 in Berkeley, California. The PAC Report is available at the link in the right-hand column. In general, the PAC reported that the scientific program was strong. The PAC also stated, "We particularly want to recognize the impressive accomplishments of the Sanford Underground Laboratory in bringing the project to this point."
